5 minutes of magic

I miss being outside when the sun sets. It's been so so cold but today we went out there for the last 5 minutes of magic before the sun went down…and it felt good.

Her face lit up when this man came to town and said "Let's go to the art store, get some supplies, and do a project together". Love him. I'm blessed to have him as my Dad and my kids are blessed to know him as Grandaddy.

it was a good day

Well it's day 29 and I'm sharing my first iPhone images for the project. I never set out to hold myself to "real" camera everyday but I am really trying. I checked the kids out of school yesterday for a day of sledding…I only shot a few images and only with my phone. Somedays you just have to be in the moment and have fun…and we certainly did. I figure maybe if I post two iPhone images it will equal one "real" camera image? Yeah, I'll just keep telling myself that...

I'll look for any excuse to capture pretty light when I see it…and she only thought I was mildly crazy for it yesterday….and she's probably right

the chewy side

You have an obsession with one corner of your blanket and you have self titled it "the chewy side",  Apparently it tastes really good because you constantly bit on it. Sometimes you manage both your thumb and your blanket at the same time and "the chewy side" is beginning to get a hole int it as a result of all the constant attention it receives from you.

Today it was just you and I (and your whole entire preschool)  but we had fun sledding down the hills together. It felt good to be outside with the sun shining on our faces…even if it was a bit too cold.

All I can say is this girl likes to dance….and she usually sings herself a song to dance to…and it makes me smile every single time.

Getting in the frame with her…and laughing and laughing and laughing… lots of out of focus images captured…but we got a gem in the end…and it only took 5 minutes. This project is magic some days.
