exploring
"What I am saying is that I think life is staggering and we are all just used to it. We are all like spoiled children no longer impressed with the gifts we were given- it's just another sunset, just another storm moving over the mountains, just another child being born, just another funeral. If I have a hope, it's that God sat over the dark nothing and wrote you and me, specifically, into the story and put us in with the sunset and the rainstorm as though to say Enjoy your place in my story. The beauty of it means you matter, and you can create within it even as I have created you," Donald Miller A Million Miles in a Thousand Years
We went out to explore a bit since it's February and 65 degrees (WHAT). This was one of those moments when I sat there in complete and utter awe…life is good and we are blessed.

swimming in magic
one last morning swim before vacation ends and we load up in the car to go back to reality…
boys on one side, girls on the other

Another day another hike. Anytime I get all four of them in one frame is always an accomplishment for me.
wall of reflection
Indoor swimming is never as fun as an adult…but the light is way cooler!
shadow selfie
Hey look..it's me and my crew..or at least most of my crew. We spend the weekend exploring in the sunshine and 75 degree weather.
vacation
When you go on a road trip with kids, the pool is the first stop when you pull into town…no matter what.

After four class Valentine parties, we are swimming in Fun Dip…

a sliver of light
This image was taken at 5 million ISO in my very dark basement with a sliver of overcast light coming from a window…sometimes a sliver is all it takes to make a picture.
